It is headquarters of Chamber Taluka (an administrative subdivision of the district). The town itself is administratively subdivided into two Union councils.[1] It is located at 25°18'0N 68°49'0E with an altitude of 11 metres (39 feet).[2] Etymology:-The word ;Chambar; is derived from sindhi language It means to cling someone or basically chambar is the sindhi caste which live in the Sindh province of Pakistan Like Channa, Chohan, chunar etc... History:-According to the oldest residential People of Chambar, chambar is the old city of the period of 'Kalhora rulers. Chambar exists in the period of kalhoro that time chambar was not a city but some houses were there which residence in” Rean canal”of Indus River. ClimateGeographically the climate of Chambar is warm in the winter[3] as well as in summer and it has geographically four weathers. Which are Summer, Winter, Autumn, Spring. Finance and bankingAccording to recent researches[4] the financial conditions of city chambar has been very good because of the investment of few businessman most Maheshwaries, originally belonging to Thar which include Mr Pardeep J. Rathi, Mr. Ramesh A. Dewani and at some extent Om J. Rathi and Vinod A. Satgur and also for the banks established in city chambar which are National Bank(mostly of poor banking quality) and J. S Bank which provides you with quick facilities. Financial criterion is also good because of some land-owners. Industry:-The industrial factors which affect the industrial condition[5] of city chambar is the production of sugar from Chamber Sugar Mill Pvt Ltd owned by Anwer Majeed. Revenue collection:-The strongest source of revenue collection from the city chambar is the Maalpirri;[6] and T.M.O collects revenues from the maalpirri as well as the fruit and vegetable selling carts which runs on the road. But including the surrounding villages which comes under the Taluka, the population might go to lacs. EthincityThere are many casts[8] living in the city chambar including Kumbhar, Memon, Laghari, Khatti, Punjabi, Brohi, Samoo, Pathan, Noondani, Hindus which are basically Maheshwaris and Lohanas. Maheshwaris includes Rathi, Dewani and Satgur out of which Dewanis and Rathis are to be well knowned by educational background like Ramesh A. Dewani(Teacher and Business-man). ReligionMost of the population of city chambar belongs to religion Islam and minority of the population belongs to Hinduism and Christianism. Transportation RoadThere is no any airport or railway station system in the city chambar but there is only one route by road which is known as Chamber Road and it connects Tando-Allahyar with Badin and many other cities of Sindh. Transportation:-The transportation which is used by the citizens of city chambar includes buses, cars, bikes, rickshaw. Many uses Gadhagadi or khotagadi for the purpose of transporting goods within the city or Suzukis, Trucks, Mazdas or Trailers for transporting huge amounts of goods outside the city. Education:-The city is surrounded with private schools which donot give such a good quality education. Do, the students claim to go to Tando-Allahyar district everyday and cover 22km distance single way to compensate the need of education in this fast changing modern world. There are some students who've got respected occupations or are studying highly professional studies, these includes; 1. Pankil Kumar Dewani(Studying CA) 2. Two daughters of Ramesh A. Dewani(Studying MBBS) 3. Suresh Kumar Umedani(Studying CA) 4. Haresh Kumar Umedani(Studying CA) and many more but we came across to hear about just them. Social issue:-Some social issues which affect the city chambar are pollution, bad transportation, illegal occupation on the properties. Mostly, a big social issue of this city is the pre-occupation or domination of Muslims over Hindus. They seem to be the religious stereotypical persons but hopefully due to some Hindus who're in power, these peoples aren't able to harm any Hindu. Sports:-The mostly played and enjoyed game of the city is Cricket and many night tournaments are arranged in which all over the Sindh, teams play their role and the winner is given the trophy and the cash prize or bike as an award. Maalpirri is used as the source of ground. Outside the city, a stadium is being built but it's been 9-10 years but it hasn't been completed yet. Besides this, some are the people who're fond of playing Football mostly and in rare cases volleyball.
