The station was on the Langport and Castle Cary Railway of the Great Western Railway, and was a temporary terminus station for the railway (serving trains from Castle Cary) before it was finished in 1906. The station master's house is still in use as private property.[1] Though the station closed along with the rest of the stops between Castle Cary and Cogload Junction, in 1962, the line itself is still in use as part of the Reading to Taunton line.[2] Services{{Historical Rail Start}}{{rail line|previous={{Stnlnk|Somerton}}|next={{Stnlnk|Keinton Mandeville}}|route=Langport and Castle Cary Railway(Great Western Railway)|col={{GWR colour}}}}{{end box}} References1. ^{{cite book |last = Oakley |first = Mike |title = Somerset Railway Stations |publisher = Redcliffe Press |date = 2006 |location = Bristol |isbn = 1-904537-54-5}} 2. ^{{cite book |last = Oakley |first = Mike |title = Somerset Railway Stations: Then and Now |publisher = Dovecote Press |date = 2011}} External links{{SouthWestEngland-railstation-stub}}{{Somerset-struct-stub}} 4 : Disused railway stations in Somerset|Railway stations opened in 1905|Railway stations closed in 1962|Former Great Western Railway stations |
