It lay in the historic county of Cheshire. GeographyCheadle Moseley covered the rural area that includes parts modern-day Cheadle and Cheadle Hulme.[1] It was bordered to the west by Stockport Etchells and part of Cheadle Bulkeley, to the north by Heaton Norris, to the east by another part of Cheadle Bulkeley and Bramhall and to the south by Handford. HistoryCheadle Moseley existed as a township from the Middle Ages until 1894, when it was merged with the townships of Cheadle Bulkeley and Stockport Etchells to form the Cheadle and Gatley Urban District, finally becoming part of the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport in 1974.[2] References1. ^{{cite book | title= Stockport : a history | author= Arrowsmith, Peter | year= 1997 | publisher= Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council | location= Stockport | isbn= 0-905164-99-7 }} {{GreaterManchester-geo-stub}}2. ^{{cite book | title= Wythenshawe : A History of the Townships of Northenden, Northen Etchells and Baguley Volume 1 to 1926 | author= Shercliff, W H | year= 1974 | publisher= E J Morten (Publishers) | location= Didsbury | isbn= 0-85972-008-X }} 4 : History of Cheshire|Geography of the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport|Cheadle, Greater Manchester|Cheadle Hulme |
