DistributionThe type locality is Balante auf Celebes, Sulawesi, Indonesia.[2] The species was described after only one specimen (“ein schönes Stück”), holotype by monotypy stored in the Staatliche Naturhistorische Sammlungen Dresden, Museum für Tierkunde, Dresden, Germany, number 10198.
