In 2012, Chungdahm Learning acquired CMS Education (Creative Math & Science). In 2013, Chungdahm 3.0, a smart learning solution, was launched to operate Smart Class at CDL schools.[10] 3.0 classes primarily used the tablet PC instead of traditional textbooks.[5] In April 2014, Chungdahm announced plans to partner with Knewton to incorporate Adaptive learning into its curriculum.[11] Chungdahm entered into partnerships with Apax Holdings and EGroup in 2016 to expand Chungdahm's market presence into Vietnam.[12] Domestic BrandsChungdahm Institute - Intensive ESL Program that develops critical and creative thinking through studying diverse topics, learning language skills and conducting collaborative projects. The solution includes three main parts: an authoring tool that allows teachers to create their own smart textbooks, tools such as SRS (student response system) that promote interaction between the teacher and all the students, and a cloud tool to help manage the administrative side of teaching. ControversyIn 2015, a group of former CDI teachers won recognition as full-time employees by the Supreme Court of Korea entitling the teachers to unpaid severance pay and other benefits.[13][14] Chungdahm Learning was found to have run a scheme treating foreign teachers as independent contractors instead of employees in contravention of the Labor Standards Act, thereby saving costs by not paying severance contributions to pension or health insurance.[13] Also in 2015, an employee of an April branch of Chungdahm Learning denied a job application from a person of color on the basis of race, asserting that their customers preferred Caucasian teachers.[15] Park Kyung-ha, a spokeswoman for Chungdahm, admitted that the job posting was against the guidelines of CDI and the branch owner offered an apology and promise to not post discriminatory job listings in the future.[15] References1. ^{{cite web| url=http://pulsenews.co.kr/view.php?sc=30800028&year=2017&no=433597| title=Chungdahm Learning’s operating profit may quadruple this year| publisher=Pulse| date=June 28, 2017| access-date=November 13, 2017}} 2. ^http://company.cdiwise.co.kr/en/business/center.aspx 3. ^{{cite web| title=Chungdahm, Egroup partner to teach English in Vietnam| publisher=VOV| url=http://english.vov.vn/society/chungdahm-egroup-partner-to-teach-english-in-vietnam-322436.vov| date=June 13, 2016| access-date=January 4, 2018}} 4. ^{{cite web| url=http://company.cdiwise.co.kr/en/about/globalReach.aspx| title=Chungdahm Learning| publisher=Chungdahm Learning| access-date=January 4, 2018}} 5. ^1 2 {{cite web| url=https://www.teachaway.com/teach-english-korea/private-schools-korea/chung-dahm-learning| publisher=Teach Away| title=Chung Dahm Learning| access-date=January 4, 2018}} 6. ^{{cite web| url=http://www.teachinkorea.com/about/Programs.aspx| publisher=Teach in Korea| title=About Chungdahm Learning| access-date=January 4, 2018}} 10. ^1 {{cite web| url=http://company.chungdahm.com/eng/about/history.aspx| publisher=Chungdahm Learning| title=Chungdahm at a Glance| access-date=January 4, 2018}} 11. ^{{cite web| url=http://www.knewton.com/about/press/chungdahm-learning-knewton-plan-develop-adaptive-learning-products-south-korea/| publisher=Knewton| title=Chungdahm Learning and Knewton Plan to Develop Adaptive Learning Products in South Korea| date=April 9, 2014| access-date=January 4, 2018}} 12. ^{{cite web| url=http://vneconomictimes.com/article/vietnam-today/key-requirement| title=Key Requirement| publisher=Vietnam Economic Times| author=Hong Nhung| date=May 20, 2017| access-date=November 13, 2017}} 13. ^1 {{Cite news|url=http://www.koreaherald.com/view.php?ud=20150617001095|title=Hagwon lawsuit calls time on independent contractors|last=Herald|first=The Korea|date=2015-06-17|access-date=2017-11-07|language=en}} 14. ^{{cite web| url=http://www.koreaherald.com/view.php?ud=20150113000740| title=Teachers headed for final court battle over employment status| publisher=The Korea Herald| author=Paul Kerry| date=January 13, 2015| access-date=November 13, 2017}} 15. ^1 {{Cite news|url=http://www.koreaobserver.com/chung-dahm-under-fire-for-employing-whites-only-27547/|title=Chungdahm April under fire for 'whites only' recruitment ad - The Korea Observer|date=2015-03-30|work=The Korea Observer|access-date=2017-11-07|language=en-US}} External links
