Campbell Johnston McDiarmid (July 29, 1869 Barnesville, Ohio - May 13, 1942 Wyoming, Ohio), always known as C. J. McDiarmid,[1] was the owner of the Cincinnati Reds baseball team of the National League from {{baseball year|1927}} through {{baseball year|1929}}. In 1927, McDiarmid, an attorney and the Reds' Secretary, purchased the club from Garry Herrmann. He sold the Reds to Sidney Weil in 1929. He is buried in Cincinnati's Spring Grove Cemetery.
