He graduated from University of California, Berkeley with an M.A., and from Cornell University with a Ph.D. He is founder and director of Advanced Conservation Strategies.[3] He has served as the Science and Conservation Advisor for Galápagos National Park, and Project Isabela. He serves as an advisor on the restoration of the Tierra del Fuego bioregion. He lives near Park City, Utah.[2] Awards
