Anthony (born October 10, 1959) is an American politician. In 1984, he was elected as the mayor of South Bay, Florida when he was 24 years old,[1] and served until 2008. In 1999 he served as President of the National League of Cities (NLC)[2] and in 2013 he was named as that organization's executive director.[3][4] He was Treasurer of the United Cities and Local Governments organization (UCLG). Clarence E. Anthony currently serves on the Board of Directors for The GEO Group.
