}} Claudio Schifano (born in Siracusa, Italy, on 30 November 1953) is a contemporary artist of informal painting. As a self-taught painter in the contemparary art field, Schifano strives to move away from naturalism and the external in his work, preferring to "look deep" within himself seeking "deep emotions".
