{{Infobox_gene}}Chloride channel accessory 4, also known as CLCA4, is a protein which in humans CLCA4 gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a chloride channel.[1] Protein structure prediction methods suggest the N-terminal region of CLCA4 protein is a zinc metalloprotease, and the protein is not an ion channel per se.[2]See alsoReferences1. ^{{cite journal | vauthors = Agnel M, Vermat T, Culouscou JM | title = Identification of three novel members of the calcium-dependent chloride channel (CaCC) family predominantly expressed in the digestive tract and trachea | journal = FEBS Lett. | volume = 455 | issue = 3 | pages = 295–301 |date=July 1999 | pmid = 10437792 | doi = 10.1016/S0014-5793(99)00891-1 | url = }} 2. ^{{cite journal | vauthors=Pawłowski K, Lepistö M, Meinander N |title=Novel conserved hydrolase domain in the CLCA family of alleged calcium-activated chloride channels. |journal=Proteins |volume=63 |issue= 3 |pages= 424–39 |year= 2006 |pmid= 16470849|doi= 10.1002/prot.20887|display-authors=etal}}
