The group lies {{convert|0.5|nmi|km|0|disp=flip|}} west-southwest of Halpern Point, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Theodore J. Cohen, field assistant with the University of Wisconsin (USARP) party during geological mapping of this area, 1961–62. See also
