| display_parents = 3 }}Conus algoensis, common name the algoa cone, is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Conidae, the cone snails and their allies.[1] Like all species within the genus Conus, these snails are predatory and venomous. They are capable of "stinging" humans, therefore live ones should be handled carefully or not at all. There are four subspecies :
DescriptionThe size of the shell varies between 12 mm and 60 mm. The thin shell is smooth,. It has a chestnut-brown color, with one or two bands of longitudinal white markings.
