释义 |
Crispin James Alan Nevill Money-Coutts, 9th Baron Latymer (born 8 March 1955) is an English peer, a sailing specialist, and a retired private banker. In 2003, Money-Coutts inherited the title Baron Latymer from his father, Hugo Money-Coutts, 8th Baron Latymer (1926–2003). He was educated at Eton and Keble College, Oxford. He rowed in the World Rowing Junior Championships in 1972 (in the eight) and in 1973 (in the eight and the coxless pair, winning a silver medal in the latter), then he represented Oxford in the University Boat Race in 1975 and 1977, winning the latter. In 2005, Latymer sailed single-handedly across the Atlantic Ocean, on the identical journey his father had taken some decades previously.[1] Following the voyage which raised £40{{nbsp}}000 for Save the Children, Latymer wrote and published the voyage in a book entitled Where the Ocean Meets the Sky (Adlard Coles Nautical, 2009), the name taken from the Rod Stewart song, "Rhythm of My Heart".[2] He has three children: Daily Telegraph and Tatler journalist and novelist[3][4] Sophia,[5][6] Rosie and the British magician Drummond Money-Coutts. Today Latymer holds several executive positions in private financial institutions in London, and was formerly chairman of the University College London Hospital Charities.[7] References1. ^{{cite web | title= THE OCEAN – Ocean News and Guide | url=http://www.theoceans.net/news.php?id=1255 | accessdate=7 February 2010}} {{s-start}}{{s-reg|en}}{{s-bef|before=Hugo Nevill Money-Coutts}}{{s-ttl|title=Baron Latymer| years=2003–present}}{{s-inc|}}{{s-end}}{{Current Barons of England}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Latymer, Crispin Money-Coutts, 9th Baron}}2. ^{{cite web | title= Where the Ocean Meets the Sky, Amazon UK | url=https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/product-description/140811402X | accessdate=7 February 2010}} 3. ^https://www.theguardian.com/books/2018/aug/12/in-brief-reluctant-billionaire-plus-one-choice-reviews 4. ^https://www.standard.co.uk/lifestyle/books/the-plus-one-by-sophia-moneycoutts-review-a3902126.html 5. ^https://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/life/sophia-money-coutts-absurd-name-builds-character-trust 6. ^https://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/life/ugly-mug-shows-posh/?li_source=LI&li_medium=li-recommendation-widget 7. ^{{cite web | title= UCLH Charity – Meet the Team | url= http://www.uclhcharity.org.uk/trustees.html?current=four&sub=b | accessdate= 7 February 2010 | deadurl= yes | archiveurl= https://web.archive.org/web/20100425021309/http://www.uclhcharity.org.uk/trustees.html?current=four&sub=b | archivedate= 25 April 2010 | df= }} 5 : Living people|1955 births|Barons Latimer|British male rowers|Oxford University Boat Club rowers |
