词条 | Cui Guoyin |
释义 |
Cui has generally not been a well-regarded figure in historical accounts. Liang Jian, a historian at Yunnan Normal University, writes that "because he could not speak English, had an introverted personality, and was inept at social intercourse, [Cui] became the butt of jokes and a gossip topic".[3] Historian Michael Hunt believes that Cui was "a lackluster diplomat", because he did not consistently advocate for concrete policies that would assist Chinese citizens living in the United States following the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882.[4] References1. ^1 {{cite journal |title=崔国因护侨述略 |pages=63 |author=Liang, Jian |journal=Journal of Anqing Teachers College (Social Science Edition) |year=2009 |volume=28 |issue=1}} {{China_Ambassadors_to US}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Cui, Guoyin}}{{China-politician-stub}}{{asia-diplomat-stub}}2. ^1 {{cite book |title=The European diary of Hsieh Fucheng: Envoy Extraordinary of Imperial China |pages=57 |author=Xue, Fucheng |author2=Helen Hsieh Chien |author3=Douglas Howland |isbn=978-0-312-07946-8 |year=1993 |publisher=Palgrave Macmillan}} 3. ^Liang, 63. 4. ^{{cite book |title=The Making of a Special Relationship: The United States and China to 1914 |pages=113 |author=Hunt, Michael |year=1983 |publisher=Columbia University Press |location=New York}} 8 : Qing dynasty diplomats|1909 deaths|Ambassadors of China to the United States|Ambassadors of China to Japan|Ambassadors of China to Peru|1831 births|People from Huangshan|Qing dynasty politicians from Anhui |
