Cynthia is a hamlet in central Alberta, Canada within Brazeau County.[1] It is located approximately {{convert|37|km}} south of Highway 16 and {{convert|131|km}} southwest of Edmonton. Cynthia previously held new town status for almost three years, having incorporated as a new town on June 1, 1956,[2] but dissolving on May 1, 1959.[3] DemographicsIn 2005, Brazeau County conducted a municipal census among its hamlets that recorded a population of 50 in Cynthia.[4] See also
