The song was released as the band's 26th single the following year, and reached #9 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.[1] A music video was created for the song and was featured on MTV. The single was the band's last to chart. Background"Dancin' in the Ruins" was meant to be a hit, and intentionally mimicked the fusion of hard rock and pop rock on the band's earlier hit single, Burnin' for You.
