He previously played for the York City Knights, the Hunslet Hawks, the Featherstone Rovers and Doncaster in the Championship, and for the Leeds Rhinos in the Super League. He plays as a {{rlp|so}}. He made his début for Leeds against Castleford Tigers 2007 at {{rlp|so}} in place of Danny McGuire on international duties.[3] He retired in 2016.{{citation needed|date=December 2018}} Danny is rumoured to be making a come back to the game he made his own throughout his playing days. The rumours were confirmed when rugby league pundit Paul 'the wheelbarrow' Wilkes confirmed he would be signing him for his new reign at the Hinpool bear pioneers ARLFC.
