}} Dave Owen (born April 25, 1958 in Cleburne, Texas), is a former professional baseball player who played infielder in the major leagues from {{Baseball year|1983}}-{{Baseball year|1988}}. He attended the University of Texas at Arlington and played for the Mavericks from 1977 to 1979.[1] After getting to the major leagues, he played for the Chicago Cubs and Kansas City Royals. He got the game-winning RBI game during in which Ryne Sandberg hit two home runs off Bruce Sutter on June 23, 1984 in the bottom of the 11th. His younger brother Spike played for five major league teams from 1983 to 1995.
