David Krae [1] is a film director, actor, producer and author. After years working on both sides of the camera, in 2006 he directed his first independent feature film The House,[2] which was featured as an Official Selection [3] of the Canadian Filmmakers' Festival.[4] In 2007 he won the Golden Palm Award[5] for Best Script in the screenwriting competition at the Beverly Hills Film Festival for his feature screenplay Lucretia about Lucretia Borgia. A supporter of independent filmmaking, he supervised production of the Genie Award-nominated feature film This Beautiful City by director Ed Gass-Donnelly and in 2009, he produced and the independent action-comedy feature film Gangster Exchange by director Dean Bajramovic,[6] which won six Best Feature [7] awards at festivals across North America. As a performer, Krae has appeared in various television shows and film projects; he is a member of the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA) and the Canadian Media Producers Association (formerly CFTPA [8]); and as a writer and filmmaker, he is based in both Toronto and Los Angeles. In 2012, he published a novel version of Lucretia,[9] the story of Lucretia Borgia, as well as the Elizabethan style stage play [10] upon which it was originally based. ReferencesExternal links
