Sheiner (born January 13, 1928) is a former American actor. He appeared on broadway, but is known for his supporting roles in several films and television series. He started his career in television in 1952, but he was most successful during the 60s, 70s and 80s. Film and television rolesSheiner appeared in several films including The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965) as James the Elder, and Col Hoffen Combat! as well as The Big Brawl (1980) and Blue Thunder (1983), however was probably best known for his early small role as Roy, one of the poker players buddies of Felix and Oscar, opposite Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau in the film The Odd Couple in 1968. He also guest-starred in many television programs, including Columbo, The Big Valley, The Twilight Zone, The Invaders, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Hawaii Five-O, Blue Light, S.W.A.T., Combat! Quincy, M.E., Impossible, The Fall Guy, Blind Ambition, Bonanza, and The Fugitive. He retired from acting in 1988. Filmography
