Shiloh has performed with Stereos, Hedley, Marianas Trench, and Faber Drive..[3] CareerEarly lifeShiloh was born in Abbotsford, British Columbia and was raised in several locations in Saskatchewan as well as Edmonton, Alberta.[4] Growing up, Shiloh entered many singing contests and competitions, including a radio contest for The Bounce (91.7 CHBN-FM) in Edmonton, Alberta, which she won. Picture Imperfect (2008-2009)Shiloh travelled to Vancouver, British Columbia to work with songwriting–production team Hipjoint Productions[5] who wrote and produced seven songs on her debut album Picture Imperfect including the Canadian Platinum-selling single "Operator (A Girl Like Me)". She signed to Universal Music Canada in 2008 and released her debut album, Picture Imperfect, on August 18, 2009.[6] As a songwriter, Shiloh signed a worldwide co-publishing deal with Ole/Tanjola.[7] Shiloh released her debut album Picture Imperfect in Canada on August 18, 2009. The album yielded three singles which have received airplay on MuchMusic and Family Channel. Shiloh also signed an American deal with Universal Republic in 2009.[8] "Operator (A Girl Like Me)" was the first single from Picture Imperfect. It charted on the Canadian Hot 100 and listed her as Billboard Canada's #1 Emerging Talent Artist as of December 19, 2008.[9] The song is also included on Much Dance 2009 CD. Shiloh appeared on MuchOnDemand on June 4, 2009, and performed "Goodbye, You Suck". She was a nominee for the 2009 MuchMusic Video Awards as well as being an announced performer.[10][11] She performed "Operator (A Girl Like Me)" at the MuchMusic Video Awards on June 21, 2009, but lost in both categories she was nominated in: Pop Video of the Year to Danny Fernandes and UR Fave: New Artist to The Midway State. Shiloh appeared on YTV's The Zone segment and was interviewed by Carlos, answering viewer questions that had been submitted by e-mail and performing. She also appeared on season two of The Next Star, meeting the six finalists. Shiloh's songs have been heard in various television shows, including Gossip Girl, Tail to the Chief, Mr. Troop Mom, The Next Generation, Majority Rules, in Whitney Port's spinoff of The Hills, The City, and What Happens in Vegas. "Can't Hold On" and "I Am You" (2010-present)On November 9, 2010 Shiloh released the single "Can't Hold On". In 2016, Future 5th took over Shiloh's management from Tanjola. In 2017, Shiloh changed her stage name to "Doll" and has a new website, www.shegoesbydoll.com. She later dropped a demo track under the name of Doll called “Alien.” It was confirmed that it was not going to be on the new EP. In late 2017, Doll announced her new EP, I Am You.” It was announced to come out in 2018 but was delayed due to personal issues. The EP will still come out according to Doll when she posted a story on Instagram with the following words, “I haven’t stopped writing the album.” On January 28, 2018, Doll posted the first single off I Am You called "Stealin" on SoundCloud. It is now unavailable. On September 13th, Doll dropped her second single off of the EP called “SWM” short for “Sex With Myself.” It is still available for listening. InfluencesShiloh says that her idol is Michael Jackson. She has been performing Jackson's "Man in the Mirror" from his album, Bad on her tour. Like Jackson, she donates money made from shows to charities. On August 27, 2009, at the Hamilton Place Theatre, Shiloh said that the money made from that show would go to World Vision and a child she sponsored, Fabrizio.[12] In a 2009 interview with Young Hollywood, Shiloh stated that Frank Sinatra and Celine Dion were also major influences to her music and strongly inspired her love of music.
