It is located 12.4 kilometers from the terminus of the Aichi Loop Line at Okazaki Station. It is nearby the Toyota Ekaku Apartments, a housing development for Toyota factory workers.[1] HistoryEkaku Station was opened on April 26, 1976 as a passenger station on the Japan National Railways (JNR) Okata Line connecting {{STN|Okazaki}} with {{STN|Shin-Toyota}}. At the time, the station had a single side platform. With the privatization of the JNR on April 1, 1987, the station came under control of JR Central.
