She was first elected in 2009, and re-elected in 2014.{{citation needed|date=April 2017}} She is a spokesman for international trade for the Conservative Party.{{r|indep}} LifeMcClarkin was born in Stroud, in Gloucestershire, and went to Stroud Girls High School.
