Educational backgroundHe attended high school at Jersey Community High School. After he graduated high school, he attended Western Illinois University, where he received his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree. He then transferred to Southern Illinois University where he received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.[1] Career as lawyerHe was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1984 and in Missouri in 1986. He then opened up his law firm and practiced in Jerseyville until he became Judge.
