}}The European Confederation of Pharmaceutical Entrepreneurs (EUCOPE) is a pharmaceutical industry trade association founded in 2008 with the view to give voice to small and medium-sized companies active in the research, development, production and distribution of pharmaceuticals and biotechnologies. Via the member associations (French FranceBiotech, German BioDeutschland, the German Pharmaceutical Industry Association (BPI), the Ethical Medicines Industry Group (EMIG) of the UK, the Swedish Associations SwedenBio and IML as well as Greek association [https://www.pef.gr/ PEF]) EUCOPE represents more than 900 mid-sized innovative member companies, many of them SMEs. EUCOPE membership includes - innovative family-owned businesses such as Ferring, B.Braun or Vianex
- companies focusing on rare disease treatments such as Achillion, Actelion, Aegerion, Akcea, Alexion, Alnylam, Amicus, Biogen, BioMarin, Bluebird Bio, Celgene, Celsion, CSL Behring, Cytokinetics, Grifols, Horizon, Incyte, Intercept, Kite Pharma, CTRS, Medac, Miltenyi Biotech, Nordic Nanovector, Onxeo, Orphan Europe, Ovid, Prothena, PTC, Santhera, Santen, Sarepta, Sobi, Takeda, Tesaro, Vertex, Vifor Pharma, Zealand Pharma and Zogenix.
EUCOPE, inter alia, represents its members with respect to international governmental organisations in particular towards the EU institutions (Council of the EU, EU Commission, European Parliament) and agencies (including the European Medicines Agency).
