DescriptionE. mingrelicus indiviuals are dark in colour and reach lengths of 38 mm. They are difficult to distinguish from other Euscorpius spp. such as E. gamma and E. germanus.[1] This species' biology is not well known. Their venom is believed to be mild, with local effects only.[1]Distribution and habitatE. mingrelicus is distributed through Anatolia (including Turkey, Syria, and Georgia[1]) and Eastern Europe, with populations from Russia to Italy.[2] This species' full distribution is uncertain, owing in part to possible misidentifications.[2] They are found in humid, mountainous areas and forests, and have been reported in Austrian river valleys.[2] E. mingrelicus may hide under stones and other objects, such as logs or beneath the bark of dead trees.[2]References1. ^{{cite journal|last=YİĞİT|first=Nazife|first2=Abdullah |last2=BAYRAM |first3=Tarık |last3=DANIŞMAN|year=2007|title=Functional Morphology of Venom Apparatus of Euscorpius mingrelicus|journal=Journal of Applied Biological Sciences|volume=1|issue=2|pages=27–31|accessdate=4 March 2015|url=http://www.nobel.gen.tr/Makaleler/JABS-Issue%201-17-2011.pdf}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q310969}}{{Scorpion-stub}}2. ^1 2 3 4 5 {{cite web|url=http://www.ntnu.no/ub/scorpion-files/e_mingrelicus.php|title=Euscorpius mingrelicus|last=Rein|first=Jan Ove|year=2010|work=The Scorpion Files|publisher=Norwegian University of Science and Technology|accessdate=20 March 2010}} 3 : Euscorpiidae|Animals described in 1874|Scorpions of Europe |
