It was the first single released from the album. "Everybody's Everything" features the Tower of Power horn section. This marked the first time Santana used guest musicians in a song.[2] The song reached number 12 on the charts in the US in October 1971.[3] It reached number 8 on the charts in Chigaco.[4] The song still appears in Santana's setlists.[5] Roland Fratzl of The Daily Vault thought that "Everybody's Everything" sounded like a '60s James Brown soul pop number.[6] References 3 : 1971 songs|Songs written by Carlos Santana|Santana (band) songs |
