Its nearest town is Andover, approximately {{convert|6|mi|km}} to the southeast. At the beginning of the 20th century a local Member of Parliament, Walter Faber, began building houses to the east of the village of Ludgershall, on land in Hampshire. This settlement became known as Faberstown. By 1970 Ludgershall and Faberstown were in essence a single village, and in 1992 a boundary change brought Faberstown into Wiltshire from Hampshire.[1][2] References1. ^{{cite web|title=Election Maps|url=http://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/election-maps/gb/|publisher=Ordnance Survey|accessdate=1 March 2015}} {{Wiltshire-geo-stub}}2. ^{{cite web|url=http://history.wiltshire.gov.uk/community/getcom.php?id=145|website=Wiltshire Community History|title=Ludgershall|publisher=Wiltshire Council|accessdate=2 March 2015}} 1 : Hamlets in Wiltshire |
