She is the eldest of three siblings. She was brought up in Egypt, Algeria, and France. Gujral attended the Lawrence School, Sanawar and graduated from the Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi. She is married to architect Mohit Gujral, Vice-chairman and CEO of DLF India, son of the painter Satish Gujral and nephew of former Prime Minister of India, I.K. Gujral.
