{{Infobox_gene}}Fibroblast growth factor-binding protein 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the FGFBP1 gene.[1][2][3]FGFBP1, or HBP17, binds to both acidic (FGF1; MIM 131220) and basic (FGF2; MIM 134920) fibroblast growth factors in a reversible manner. It also binds to perlecan (HSPG2; MIM 142461).[supplied by OMIM][4] InteractionsFGFBP1 has been shown to interaction with Perlecan.[1] References1. ^1 {{cite journal |vauthors=Mongiat M, Otto J, Oldershaw R, Ferrer F, Sato JD, Iozzo RV | title = Fibroblast growth factor-binding protein is a novel partner for perlecan protein core | journal = J Biol Chem | volume = 276 | issue = 13 | pages = 10263–71 |date=Mar 2001 | pmid = 11148217 | pmc = | doi = 10.1074/jbc.M011493200 }} 2. ^{{cite journal |vauthors=Wu DQ, Kan MK, Sato GH, Okamoto T, Sato JD | title = Characterization and molecular cloning of a putative binding protein for heparin-binding growth factors | journal = J Biol Chem | volume = 266 | issue = 25 | pages = 16778–85 |date=Oct 1991 | pmid = 1885605 | pmc = | doi = }} 3. ^{{cite web | title = Entrez Gene: FGFBP1 fibroblast growth factor binding protein 1| url = https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=9982| accessdate = }} 4. ^{{cite web | title = Entrez Gene: FGFBP1 fibroblast growth factor binding protein 1| url = https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=9982| accessdate = }}
