Between 2006 and 2011, the District of Fort St. James recorded the second-highest population growth of all British Columbia municipalities. The District's population grew from 1350 to 1691, for a percentage increase of 25.3%. Only Langford, at 30.1%, recorded a higher growth rate. EconomyThe local economy is well diversified, although resource-oriented.
