It is about {{convert|11|mi|km|0}} southeast of Marlborough and {{convert|7|mi|km|0}} south of Hungerford, Berkshire. With few inhabitants, it forms part of the civil parish of Tidcombe and Fosbury, which has a parish meeting.[1] The Anglican Christ Church is Grade II* listed.[2] It was built in 1854-56 by S.S. Teulon and declared redundant in 1979.[3] On both sides of the parish boundary with Tidcombe lies the Iron Age hill fort of Fosbury Camp.
