}}Garra gotyla is a species of ray-finned fish in the cyprinid family from freshwater in South Asia.^[2]

There are two subspecies, which are widely regarded as separate species by some authorities (e.g., the IUCN):

Garra gotyla gotyla (Gray, 1830) – sucker head. Relatively widespread in South Asia, and reaches a length of {{convert|14.5|cm|in|abbr=on}}.^[2]
Garra gotyla stenorhynchus Jerdon, 1849 – Nilgiris garra. Found in the Western Ghats in India, and reaches a length of {{convert|15.5|cm|in|abbr=on}}.^[3]
