This family has no subfamilies (according to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005). DistributionThe distribution of the Gastrodontidae includes the Nearctic, western-Palearctic, eastern-Palearctic, Neotropical and Hawaii.[3] AnatomySome snail species in this family use love darts made of cartilage.
