词条 | Georgia–Greece relations |
释义 |
Georgian-Greek relations are foreign relations between Georgia and Greece. Both countries established embassy level diplomatic relations on April 20, 1992. Greeks have been present in Georgia since antiquity. There were Greek colonies at the present day Georgia in the ancient times. There is also a large number of Pontic Greeks in Georgia (between 15,000 and 25,000), although this is significantly lower than it had been until the early 1990s, when many Georgian Greeks began to emigrate to Greece or southern Russia.
