Its seat is the village of Krzeszów, which lies approximately {{convert|21|km|mi|0}} south-east of Nisko and {{convert|48|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} north-east of the regional capital Rzeszów. The gmina covers an area of {{convert|62.38|km2|sqmi|1}}, and as of 2006 its total population is 4,227 (4,289 in 2013).
