In November 1984 his former Celtic manager Billy McNeill signed him on loan for Manchester City. He made his debut in a 4–1 League Cup defeat at Chelsea,[7] but made just one league appearance, against Portsmouth, in which he was substituted at half-time.[8] References1. ^{{Hugman|18063|accessdate=12 March 2017}} 2. ^http://www.fitbastats.com/scotlandu21/player.php?playerid=31 3. ^http://www.londonhearts.com/SFL/players/graemesinclair.html 4. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.neilbrown.newcastlefans.com/celtic/celtic.html|title=CELTIC : 1946/47 - 2009/10|publisher=Neil Brown|accessdate=16 February 2011}} 5. ^{{cite news|title=We need an unlikely hero|url=http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/columnists/billymcneill/2346299/We-need-an-unlikely-hero.html|date=28 March 2009|accessdate=16 February 2011|work=The Scottish Sun|author=McNeill, Billy}} 6. ^{{cite news|last=Hannan|first=Martin|work=Scotland On Sunday|url=http://sport.scotsman.com/football/Two-slips-from-Amsterdam-and.2410906.jp|title=Two slips from Amsterdam and Celtic were through|accessdate=16 February 2011|date=16 March 2003}} 7. ^{{cite book |last=James |first=Gary |title=Manchester City - The Complete Record |publisher=Breedon |location=Derby |year=2006 |isbn=1-85983-512-0|page=437}} 8. ^{{cite news|title=City wriggle out of Pompey's Webb|author=Patrick Barclay|publisher=The Guardian|date=1984-11-26|page=24}} External links
