Ltd. |website = {{URL|www.greaterkashmir.com}} }} Greater Kashmir is an English-language newspaper[1] printed and published from Srinagar, the summer capital of the state of Jammu and Kashmir in India. The newspaper began its publication in 1987 as a weekly newspaper. It started its first daily publication in 1989.[2] The Greater Kashmir has its largest base of circulation in Jammu & Kashmir, and is the most widely read English daily newspaper in the state. As of 2018, it is being published from Srinagar and Jammu at the price of Rs. 5 per copy.[3] Its editor-in-chief is Fayaz Ahmad Kaloo. The Greater Kashmir group (GK Communications Pvt. Ltd) also publishes the urdu publication, Nawa-e-jhelum,[4] as well as the urdu daily, Kashmir Uzma[5][6], and an english magazine, Kashmir Ink.[7] In February 2019, the Governor's office stopped giving government ads to this paper as well as to the Kashmir Reader.
