The Greenville Bucks or sometimes Buckshots[1] were a Cotton States League baseball team that existed on-and-off from 1922 to 1955. They were affiliated with the Memphis Chicks in 1936 and the Detroit Tigers 1955. Their home fields included High School Park, Recreation Park and Sportsman Park.[1] The writer Shelby Foote followed the Bucks as a youth, and recalls this in interviews in Ken Burns' 1994 documentary Baseball.[2] References1. ^1 [https://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/team.cgi?city=Greenville&state=MS&country=US BR Minors] {{Greenville, Mississippi}}{{baseball-team-stub}}2. ^{{Cite episode |title=Inning Three: The Faith of Fifty Million People |series= Baseball |serieslink= Baseball (TV series) |first= |last= |network= PBS |date=20 September 1994 |number=3 |minutes= |time= |transcript= |transcripturl= |quote= |language=}} 3 : Sports clubs established in 1922|Defunct minor league baseball teams|Greenville Buckshots players |
