He played at representative level for Great Britain and Yorkshire, and at club level for Nostell Welfare ARLFC , Wakefield Trinity (Heritage № 335), and York, as a {{rlp|pr}}, or {{rlp|hk}}, i.e. number 8 or 10, or 9, during the era of contested scrums.
