It was sometimes called pua{{okina}}a kai, literally "sea pig".[4] Keahole Point and the Kona International Airport located there are named for the fish.[5]References1. ^{{FishBase |genus= Kuhlia |species= sandvicensis }} {{Taxonbar|from=Q1426749}}{{Perciformes-stub}}2. ^{{FishBase |genus= Kuhlia |species= xenura }} 3. ^{{Hawaiian Dictionaries |āholehole |q=aholehole |accessdate= September 21, 2010 }} 4. ^{{Hawaiian Dictionaries |āhole |q=ahole |accessdate= September 21, 2010 }} 5. ^{{Hawaiian Dictionaries |keahole |dic=pp |accessdate= September 21, 2010 }} 4 : Fish of Hawaii|Kuhliidae|Endemic fauna of Hawaii|Fish common names |
