She was given in marriage to Samuel at age 12,[1] but needed two years of lapse before the cohabitation of the couple, as stated by their marriage contract.[2] Helene's father was Nicolas Boullé, who was the Lord Chamberlain of France. After de Champlain's death in December 1635, Hélène became an Ursuline nun.[3] The Zec Boullé and Saint Helen's Island are all named after her.[4][5] References1. ^{{cite web|title=Helene Boullé|website=Biographi.ca|url=http://www.biographi.ca/fr/bio/boulle_helene_1F.html}} {{Subject bar |portal1= Biography |portal2= Catholicism |portal3= New France}}{{Authority control}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Boulle, Helene}}{{NewFrance-stub}}{{RC-bio-stub}}2. ^{{cite book|last=Dionne|first=Narcisse-Eutrope |title=Champlain, Volume 1|publisher=Morang & Co.|year=1906|pages=66}} 3. ^{{cite book|last1=Litalien|first1=Raymonde|last2=Roth |first2=Käthe |last3=Vaugeois |first3=Denis |title=Champlain: the birth of French America|publisher=McGill-Queen's Press|year=2004|pages=198|isbn=978-0-7735-2850-5}} 4. ^{{cite web |url=http://www.toponymie.gouv.qc.ca/ct/ToposWeb/fiche.aspx?no_seq=120609 |title= Zec Boullé |publisher=Commission de toponymie du Québec |accessdate=2014-09-07 |language=French}} 5. ^{{cite web |url=http://www.toponymie.gouv.qc.ca/ct/ToposWeb/fiche.aspx?no_seq=56197|title=Île Sainte-Hélène |publisher= Commission de toponymie du Québec |accessdate=2014-12-26 |language=French}} 6 : 1598 births|1654 deaths|French nuns|Ursulines|People of New France|17th-century Christian nuns |
