Henry Campion (c. 1680 – 17 April 1761) was a British politician. Henry Campion was the son of William Campion of Combwell, Kent, and educated at Enfield Grammar School and Trinity College, Cambridge, before being admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1698.[1] He sat as Member of Parliament for East Grinstead 1708 to 1710,[2] for Bossiney from 1710 to 1713[3] and for Sussex from 1713 to 1715.[4] In 1713 he was also returned for Helston, but chose to sit for Sussex.[5] After 1715 Campion was an active Jacobite as a messenger and organizer and was obliged to spend the next few years abroad, before returning to England in 1720. Private lifeCampion died on 17 April 1761. In 1702 he had married Barbara, the daughter and heiress of Peter Courthope of Danny Park, Sussex. In 1725 he came into possession of Danny Park where he lived until his death. He left a son, William and a daughter, Katherine, who had married a George Courthope.
