It was built in 1917 and is owned and operated by the Kansas City Terminal Railway (KCTR) It crosses the Kansas River at the eastern part of the bridge, and has thru-truss spans over the Kansas River. The rest of the bridge is a deck truss about one mile long, and goes north to east in direction.
