BoundariesThe City of Denver-defined neighborhood of Hilltop is bordered on the west by Colorado Boulevard, on the north by 6th Avenue, and on the south by Alameda Avenue. The eastern boundary is irregular, extending to Quebec Street at the north end, and encompassing properties on both sides of Monaco Parkway at the south end.[2] LandmarksThe Hilltop neighborhood gets it name from the fact that it is higher in elevation than the surrounding parts of the city. In the center of the neighborhood is Cranmer Park, with a view of the Front Range mountains. The Graland Country Day School, an independent, co-educational day school for grades K-9 is located in the neighborhood, as is Temple Emanuel. CharacterHilltop is one of Denver's wealthiest neighborhoods. It was developed in the 1940s and 1950s,[3] and since the 1990s, many of the original houses have being demolished and replaced with large houses on medium-sized lots.[4] References1. ^{{cite web |title=Hilltop - Community Facts |url=http://denvermetrodata.org/neighborhood/hilltop |website=Community Facts - Neighborhood Data for the 7-County Denver Metro Region (BETA) |publisher=The Piton Foundation |accessdate=31 July 2018}} 2. ^{{cite web |url=https://www.denvergov.org/Maps/map/neighborhoods |title=Denver Maps - Neighborhoods |author= |date= |website=Denver Maps |publisher=City and County of Denver |access-date=2018-07-31 |quote=}} 3. ^Westword 4. ^{{cite web |title=Empty Mansions Dot Historic Hilltop |url=https://www.denverpost.com/2006/09/18/empty-mansions-dot-historic-hilltop/ |website=The Denver Post |publisher=The Denver Post |accessdate=31 July 2018}} 1 : Neighborhoods in Denver |
