In 2003 he was appointed CEO of the Richmond Football Club.[3] On July 25, 2015, Athletics Australia submitted a request to the IAAF to award Campbell the Gold medal after all for his fouled fourth jump at the 1980 Olympics, claiming that video recordings of the jump clearly show that the disputed decision was erroneous.
