Idols South Africa II was the third season of South African reality interactive talent show based on the British talent show Pop Idol. It was aired from June 2003, exactly one year after the first season ended, to October of the same year.

With Colin Moss and Letoya Makhene new hosts were introduced and half of the juding panel was replaced as Mara Louw and Gareth Cliff replaced Penny Lebyane and Marcus Brewster.

The number of finalists was increased to 12 but only two male contestants made it through the semifinal group of the top 32: Jacques Terre'Blanche and Wafeeq Saffodien who both eventually managed to reach the top 5. Originally chosen as a wildcard winner, Francisca Blasisch suddenly quit and was replaced by Khwezi Kekana in the top 12 where she was voted off in the first liveshow.

Due to technical issues the voting was voided in the week of 28 September were the contestants where singing songs by John Lennon and Paul McCartney and nobody was sent home that week.

On 20 October 2003 Anke Pietrangeli, who was nicknamed The Kimberley Diamond by her supporters, won over fellow-finalist Poseletso Sejosingoe in the Gold Reef City Hippodrome Theatre.[1][2]

"This bright and booming talent is a perfect example of how NOT winning the title of "South African Pop Idol" (2003) can actually be a boon to your career and not necessarily the end of a childhood dream"

Poseletso Sejosingoe is well known for her role on a South African Pop Idol Series which she came out as a runner-up. Born and Bred in Cape Town, she was formally introduced to singing when she joined a high school choir. Poseletso grew up singing in gospel groups and school choirs. With no formal musical training, her gospel-tinged voice always pleases her audience.

Poseletso was frequently seen on stage performing with the top SA artists, among them: Mara Louw, Ringo Madlingozi, Miriam Makeba and Busi Mhlongo just to name but a few and also shared a stage with international artists like Michael Bolton, Josh Groban, Beyoncé, Westlife and others.

She started doing theatre productions in 2007 and has since formed a theatre production company with a group of other young people, New image Ensemble- which is 100% owned and controlled by young Black Africans. They have appeared in many different theatre productions both locally and internationally.

Poseletso’s international theatre shows have included among others: The magic Flute-Impepe Yomlingo (West End, UK, Ireland, and Japan); The Mysteries- Yiimimangaliso (Paris); Aesop’s Fables; A Christmas Carol (London).

She, together with her group has performed for president Jacob Zuma and couple of cabinet ministers.

She now is now involved in a production "Nothing But The Truth" which started on 1 July to October 2011. The play is based on a book authored by John Kani, which is the school set book for matrics. The aim is to offer assistance to learners and educators, with new and interesting ways to approach academic subjects, such as English, Music and History.

Poseletso I also involved and has partnership with Ray Alexander Simons Memory Centre and the member of their new theatre built in Gugulethu.
