I Got a Lot of Hurtin' Done Today/I've Got My Baby On My Mind is the twenty fifth studio album by American country music artist, Connie Smith. The album was released in January 1975 on Columbia Records and was produced by Ray Baker. The album spawned three singles between 1974 and 1975, which included two Top 20 hits.

Background

I Got a Lot of Hurtin' Done Today/I've Got My Baby On Mind contained eleven tracks and was produced at the Columbia Records Recording Studio in Nashville, Tennessee in 1974. The album included a cover version of Hank Williams's "Why Don't You Love Me" (which would eventually be released as a single), as well as "Searching (For Someone Like You)." In addition, the album also included two songs by Don Gibson: "Praying Hands" and "Loving You (Has Changed My Whole Life)." Two additional religious songs were included on the album: Billy Graham's "Sunshine Blue" and Eddy Raven's "You'll See Jesus," as Smith was beginning to incorporate more Gospel music into her studio albums.[1] The album was released on a 12-inch LP album, with six songs on the record's first side and five songs on its second side.[2]
