It grows up to 1.5 metres high and produces greenish-cream flowers in spring and summer.[2] The species was first formally described by the Government Botanist of Victoria Ferdinand von Mueller in 1894 in Proceedings of the Linnean Society of New South Wales Series. His description was based on a collection from Blackheath.[1] Isopogon fletcheri is listed as a vulnerable species under the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995 in New South Wales and has a ROTAP listing as "2VCat"[2]References1. ^1 {{APNI | name =Isopogon fletcheri | id =46801 }} {{Taxonbar|from=Q6086242}}{{proteaceae-stub}}{{Australia-eudicot-stub}}2. ^1 {{cite web |url=http://plantnet.rbgsyd.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/NSWfl.pl?page=nswfl&lvl=sp&name=Isopogon~fletcheri |title=Isopogon fletcheri F.Muell. |accessdate=2010-06-12 |author=|work= PlantNET - New South Wales Flora Online |publisher=Royal Botanic Gardens & Domain Trust, Sydney Australia}} 2 : Flora of New South Wales|Isopogon |
