It is a solid body version of the Surfcaster that was manufactured in 1996-1997. It is a simple design with a wrap-around tailpiece that is adjustable for both height and intonation. Sound and playabilityThe Outcaster is a simple design with a focus on playability. The combination of lipstick and humbucker pickups allows for a great variety of sounds. DesignThe design is inspired by the Surfcaster, it is essentially a solid body version made with a stop back tailpiece. The pickup configuration is a well matched lipstick and humbucker controlled with a three-way selector. The volume and tone controls are both chrome knobs that fit will with the design.
